Operational Research

Objectives

R1. To know the Operations Research methodology. R2. To know the Operations Research techniques and methods presented in the course, and to be able to apply them in the solution of small size instances. R3. To develop the capacity to analyse complex systems and to take better decisions through a process that involves: R3a) to create a model to describe a system; R3b) to use adequate computational software solvers to obtain a solution for the model; R3c) to validate the model, to interpret the solution, and to elaborate recommendations for the system under analysis. R4) To understand the importance of assessing the solutions, and to be able to make sensitivity analysis.
